NSW: Navy captain denies image problem in the service

SYDNEY, Feb 28 AAP - The captain of the Royal Australian Navy's HMAS Anzac frigate
today admitted there was a recruitment problem within the navy, but denied there was an
image crisis.

Captain Matt Tripovich, who is captaining the ship on an intensive warfare training
exercise off Jervis Bay, said the navy had to offer the right packages if it wanted to
retain staff.

His comments follow claims that the navy is losing officers at record rates due to
