SYDNEY, Jan 19 AAP - The idea for a joint Australia-US military training facility on
Australian soil is a highly attractive one, The Australian says in an editorial today.

"Such a facility will gear Australian and US troops -- who have fought shoulder to
shoulder in Afghanistan and Iraq over the last two years, and who already hold regular
joint training exercises in Australia, the US and the Pacific -- even more closely together,"
