STC increases data capacity by 5 times.

STC, Saudi Arabia's leading telecom company, has launched QuickNet chips with new prices and with additional data capacity for current customers as well as new customers.

This move comes as part of the company's qualitative efforts that aim at providing the best in class services to its various customers while at the same time providing them with various choices for internet usage when they are on the move and when using various devices, said a statement. When renewing the QuickNet Style package, the amount of data capacity will be increased five times while the price remains the same at SR99 ($26.41) with 5 GB. QuickNet Light service which is considered the best internet chip in the kingdom that was launched earlier by STC witnessed high customer appeal due to the flexibility in usage based on need add to the that savings which is the main factor that increased the demand on this new service, it said. QuickNet Light is a pre-paid internet chip at SR25 with 400 MB of free internet. The customer has the choice once the free data credit for QuickNet Light is finished to use the internet based on need using the QuickNet Easy at SR0.4 per megabyte and with any amount being recharged, it said. This allows customers high flexibility in enjoying the internet when on the go based on high speed technology enabling them to browse the web, read emails without any restrictions or conditions and enjoy new high speed internet that reach 42 MB when uploading.

'This comes as part of the company's keen interest in its customers and packaging their desires, requests, and aspirations under one umbrella following a detailed study of what customers want and as part of the company's customer centric focus that covers their needs and providing a multitude of choices without any conditions or restrictions,' the statement said.

STC is delivering the internet at speeds reaching 42 MB with superior coverage on inhabited areas where STC's coverage is covering 98 per cent of the total area across the kingdom bearing in mind the increasing demand for broad band services to cover the kingdom's cities and areas with the 3G network to serve more than 24 million customers across the kingdom. - TradeArabia News Service
