Netcracker completes first phase of OSS transformation at Russian VimpelCom

US-based Netcracker Technology (NASDAQ-OTCBB: NIPNY) and Russia's VimpelCom Group said on Monday that they have completed the first phase of OSS transformation at VimpelCom.

The OSS solution for VimpelCom includes NetCracker modules, such as resource inventory, discovery and reconciliation, outside plant and order management.

NetCracker's solution helps VimpelCom improve the overall efficiency and management of the network, the companies said in a joint statement.

NetCracker Technology is a global solution company enabling service providers to deliver rapidly and manage effectively convergent and content-rich offerings. The company delivers service and resource management through its software and implementation expertise.

The VimpelCom Group consists of telecommunications operators providing voice and data services through a range of wireless, fixed and broadband technologies. The group includes companies operating in Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Georgia and Armenia.
