Fed: People can't live forever so stop trying

An outspoken geneticist says humans will never live forever .. so we should really
stop trying to.

ROBIN HOLLIDAY has told an international medical conference .. the anti-ageing medicine
movement is ridiculous .. and he's called on scientists to stop claiming people could
one day live for hundreds of years thanks to biotechnology.

Dr HOLLIDAY .. from the Australian Academy of Science .. has told the Brisbane conference
.. mammals have a limited natural life span that's unlikely to change.

But he says the best chance of extending it comes from tackling age-related disease
and understanding more about body maintenance .. not biotechnology.
